From the age of 13, I knew I wanted to be a Veterinary Nurse after a visit to the vets with my first cat.

I was constantly told by my Career advisors this job wouldn't suit me, well here I am having proved them wrong!

I started in September 1988 on the YTS scheme and qualified as a listed Veterinary nurse in July 1993.I was made Head Nurse in 1991.

I have always lived with animals including a dog, chickens, hamsters
rabbits, fish, a budgie. My life currently revolves round my three cats.

During the years I have obtained various qualifications including D32/33 assessor awards in March 2001, NEBS Management introductory award at certificate level July 1998, HSE approved first aid at work, Hill's nutritional adviser programme level 4 currently doing level 5 and dog psychology course.

In my free time I enjoy walking, cooking, going to the theatre and holidays in Guernsey..

My job is theatre nurse and my particular interests are intensive care and physiotherapy.

Whenever I see my friends from School they comment 'Well you got the job you wanted and you're still at the same place, you must be happy' and yes I am!
